Lower Provo River Fly Fishing UtahLOWER PROVO RIVER  Famous Must Fish!!! The Lower Provo River is one of Utah’s best wild brown trout streams. It is a beautiful section of river that flows from Deer Creek Reservoir through the deep and narrow walls of Provo Canyon. The Lower Provo River is known for its consistent nymph fishing that occurs year-round, but that’s not all it offers. Dry fly fishing is excellent and see’s most major hatches. Streamers will produce some of the largest fish in the river.

Releasing Brown Trout Middle Provo RiverMIDDLE PROVO RIVER Top Dry Fly River!!!  There are few fly fishing rivers in the world that boost such an amazing backdrop of scenery and beauty. Surrounded by Mt Timpo and meandering farm meadows the Middle Provo River has a unique feel of a rugged mountain stream, but in a spring creek setting.  Since the construction of the Jordanelle Dam and the river restoration project(Restoring the river to its orginal coreadore) the Middle Provo River has blossomed into one of Utah’s premier trout streams as well as Blue Ribbon Fishery. With the Jordanelle Dam in place (Jordanelle Dam was built in 1992 and filled in 1995 so has only been a tailwater fishery for a short time and is still evolving) two key factors helped in the success of this stretch of river. 1.  Flows could be regulated and satablized in the favor of the fish. Before the Dam flows suffered resulting in sub par fish habitit.   2. An increase of insect life and more diverse insects now abound in the river. As a result of all of the insect life, the middle Provo is a very fertile fishery and has a very large population of trout with estimates around 3,500 per mile.
