Dreaming of Summer Fly Fishing in Utah

Frozen rod guides, freezing wind & snow and numb fingers is what you would have gotten if you went out fly fishing in Utah on December 4th 2011. I don’t even want to think about that, so I am taking myself back to the warm summer, where you can fish until 9 pm or later and not have to worry about a thing except for lack of rest and food. Its time to sit back, tie up some flies and wait for a day over 32*.  In the mean time summer Brookies help….

Yes, I agree the payoff is usually great and trust me I’ve had too many freezing days. I now would rather pick certain days during the winter and spend the worst ones strapped to my board on top of a Mtn. Thats just me and how I have adapted over the years.
